About
Bloom and Willow came to be out of a lockdown project; As a web designer, my work initially dried up at the start of lockdown, so I had time to get cracking on the home improvements that were well over due and in need of attention. I'd wanted to give the front of the house more curb appeal for some time, so set to work painting the front door and sprucing up the garden with new pots and replacing the damaged picket fencing. I simply decided to make a wreath to finish off all my the hard work, and after posting a picture of the final result to my Instagram I'd gained a series of orders. So quite organically, without any intention or hustle, Bloom and Willow was born.
I feel that I have almost gone full circle as my very first job was dressing Christmas trees in House of Fraser when I was 16 years old. I spent many years in visual merchandising and display roles before training to be a nurse and working in the community as a district nurse. I'm finding it so refreshing to return to my creative roots and get hands on with my designs.
